Phase 1 - Weeks 1 to 5
Teams will be split into
4 groups of 6 teams each.
Teams were
seeded based on their performance in last year's summer league and performances over the subsequent Autumn and Winter leagues.
Teams will
play each other once within their groups, which will take
5 weeks to complete.
Phase 2 - Weeks 6 to 10
At the end of this group phase teams will be split as follows:
Pool 1: 4 group winners and 2 best second place teams;
Pool 2: Remaining 2 second place teams and 4 third place teams;
Pool 3: 4 fourth place teams and 2 best fifth place teams;
Pool 4: Remaining 2 fifth place teams and 4 sixth place teams.
Teams will then
play each other once within their new groups, which will take another
5 weeks to complete.
Phase 3 - Week 11
At the end of this group phase, the competition will move into the
semi-final phase as follows:
Cup Semi-Finals: Top 4 teams from Pool 1;
Plate Semi-Finals: Bottom 2 teams from Pool 1 and top 2 teams from Pool 2;
Bowl Semi-Finals: Bottom 4 teams from Pool 2;
Shield Semi-Finals: Top 4 teams from Pool 3;
Salver Semi-Finals: Bottom 2 teams from Pool 3 and top 2 teams from Pool 4;
Trinket
Semi-Finals: Bottom 4 teams from Pool 4;
Phase 4 - Week 12
Finals Night: Finals and runner-up matches for each piece of silverware.
